Earlier this week, Microsoft officially announced that its operating system had suffered a total setback. 1 billion users. Panos Panay, Microsoft’s chief product officer, has now shared a video on Instagram commemorating the achievement. The video teases the upcoming UI and design language changes in Windows 10. The video begins with the evolution of the Windows booting screen from the beginning of the operating system. It then shows the icons of the start button which we have in Windows 10 from the very beginning.
Microsoft has given us an initial glimpse of its modern smooth design that will come in future versions of Windows 10. For a variety of apps, including calculators, photo apps, and a Brand new file explorer.
Different from UWP-based File Explorer As we saw a few months ago, the new File Explorer shown in the video looks more mature and functional. Sure, it’s a concept video but nice to see that improvement.
Coming to the Start menu, Microsoft is working to reduce the number of flashy colors in Live Tiles. We can see one more minimal aspect in the video and if this aspect is towards Windows 10 then I’m totally on board. What are your thoughts on this new Windows 10 UI? Let us know in the comments.
